QLI ensures that services are flexible and dynamic to meet the needs of the individuals or families desiring specific areas of support and for those who have changing needs. QLI makes certain that services are also readily adaptable to the changing needs of individuals and families. Our mission is driven by a vision to empower and encourage all individuals and their proponents to participate in program planning, and to provide personalized quality services by fostering and emphasizing effective growth, development, and integration. QLI commits to paying particular attention to the individuals’ choices and preferences in the process of assisting each individual to achieve his/her maximum potential, which is ultimately geared toward attaining relative levels of independence. Categorically imperative to our vision, QLI uses the necessary “person-centered” approach in order to enable each individual to live successfully in the community. QLI strives to provide specialized living arrangements to all eligible individuals without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, age, national origin, marital status or “unique abilities”.
Visit from DHMH
Visit from the Secretary Joshua M Sharfstein, secretary of DHMH. He was appointed by President Obama as Principal Deputy Commissioner of the FDA. He visited QLI to check on the welfare of our individuals. His entourage included Frank Kirkland (DDA Director) and Other high ranking officials.
